Needed to come up with some art for the Find Free Art Fridays for the 3rd Friday in April. Since I don't have the budget to buy supplies for free art I used some old vinyl records, acrylic paint, paint marker and sequins. To see a slide show of some of the free art we have left please visit our jafagirlart website.

3rd Friday Fling and Free Art
Just for fun Nancy and I spent 2 hours leaving jafagirl art around the Village for the 3rd Friday Fling Event in Yellow Springs. Here are a few examples courtesy of Jafabrit, Nancy and Talitha :)

Found Art : Flower Painting
They are not long, the weeping and the laughter,
Love and desire and hate:
I think they have no portion in us after
We pass the gate.
They are not long, the days of wine and roses:
Out of a misty dream
Our path emerges for a while, then closes
Within a dream.

Found Art about women and hunger
"Seven out of 10 of the world’s hungry are women and girls, according to the UN World Food Program." Unifem
The Hunger Project
Rosa's theme is "woman " so Nancy made a figure out of self hardening clay.
Jafabrit snuck her piece called "what a woman" between two mailboxes.
Music inspired by Lone Beader's current blog entry

Found Art
Making a connection with our art is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist (sales are nice too). So when the theme of a book came up on Rosa Murillo's Found Art Tuesday blog it made sense to Nancy to make something that shared a little part of herself and her family history.
To see what another jafagirl came up with visit Jafabrit's blog.
Hope you enjoy
