One thing leads to another

One thing leads to another from the New York Times to deputy dog to the jafagirls woo hoo!
It's always fun to see our work mentioned.

Meanwhile back at the ranch

Talitha is hanging out with dubious characters (no not talking about me), and obviously still recovering from getting bonked on the head with a bowling pin (it was an accident-honest-fell on her head).
Deb has been so busy we haven't seen her bwwaaaaaaaaaa, (well except in the YS guide) but look at her "what if "pics below, aren't they just lovely. And let's give a BIG welcome to JafaBOY, he of the Housh Clan.
Nancy is a busy busy bee, check out her interview on the nolaa gallery blog.
Jo is very busy with her latest documentary about an American Prison Artist. To learn a little about her films check out her website.
Jen did a wonderful comission yesterday for some out of town visitors. Talk about short order art, it was still wet when they happily put it in the car.
Moi, jafabrit, she who paints, knits, sews, photographs, blogs, is procrastinating LOL! But maybe that is a good thing after all all good things come to those who wait, right! right?
Jan, alas lives miles and miles away and is MISSED, but her Dreamscapes gallery and her art keep her very very busy. Currently Jan is featuring the work of Richard Maitland. whose work has been collected by a number of well known people.

The jafagirls would like to thank Susan Gartner for a lovely article (part one and two) in the Yellow Springs Guide
Thanks also to FishHawk Droppings for the shout out (don't you just love that name lol).

Watch out for the newest Jafagirl Project in Town coming SOON

crushed can art

goofy portrait of jafabrit by nancy mellon

It seems we are all having fun getting crushed can paintings done for the "12 pack" show at the Nolaa Gallery in Yellow Springs later this month. I just know visitors will get a chuckle at some of the artwork (Nancy has done some really fun one's). For $25 a crushed can painting is a real bargain, especially with the Christmas Holidays coming up.
